Our students’ most requested cultural event is definitely a trip to Granada with a visit to the Alhambra. In the Middle Ages, Granada, located in the middle of Andalusia, was the center of the last Muslim state on the Iberian Peninsula. Several centuries later, the Arab environment remains inextricably linked with Spanish culture. The Alhambra is without a doubt Granada’s most recognizable landmark. This majestic fortress, which housed the Nasrid kingdom of Granada’s ruler and court, is a fine example of Mozarabic art.

The Alhambra’s appeal comes not just from its interiors, but also from its location. It creates a breathtaking panorama against the Sierra Nevada. During the excursion, we will also visit the Mirador de San Nicolás to enjoy the beautiful city views. In the presence of flamenco dancers, who usually sing and dance at the viewpoint, we may appreciate the lovely landscape of the country known as “the last breath of the Moors.”

“If you haven’t seen Granada, you haven’t seen anything,” as the saying goes, so you can´t  miss a trip to Granada during your time at Campus Idiomático!
